Newport Plug-in Speaker Hardware Limited Warranty

This Limited Warranty applies only if you purchased your Newport Plug-in Speaker in the United States and Canada from OC Acoustic’s official stores on Amazon or our online store.

 

Introduction

OC Acoustic provides a straightforward warranty that is processed in the most hassle-free way possible. This limited warranty provided by the manufacturer in no way affects a potential statutory warranty provided by law.

 

30 days Return Policy

When the customer purchases from OC Acoustic’s official stores on Amazon or our online store, OC Acoustic follows Amazon.com’s return policy:

 

  • A new Newport Plug-in Speaker purchased from Amazon.com or our online store that didn't start when they arrived, arrived in damaged condition, or is still in an unopened box can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

  • Amazon.com or OC Acoustic staff may test speakers that are returned because they didn't start when they arrived, and impose a customer fee equal to 15 percent of the product sales price if the customer misrepresents the condition of the product.

  • Any returned speaker that is damaged through customer misuse, is missing parts, or is in unsellable condition due to customer tampering may result in the customer being charged a higher restocking fee based on the condition of the product.

 

When the customer purchases from OC Acoustic’s authorized retailers, OC Acoustic follows their policies. Please contact our authorized retailers for more details.

 

Warranty Claims for Quality-Related Issues after 30 days

OC Acoustic warrants that a new Newport Plug-in Speaker will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use under OC Acoustic’s published user manuals for ONE year from the date of original purchase in its original packaging by you. This warranty is collectively referred to as our “Limited Warranty”.

 

For quality-related warranty claims, your Newport Plug-in Speaker will be replaced with a factory refurbished model of equal value when available, otherwise, a new Newport Plug-in Speaker after you return your original unit in either its original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection to our warehouse. The returned product will be in possession of OC Acoustic. When OC Acoustic replaces your Newport Plug-in Speaker, the newly replaced Newport Plug-in Speaker will continue to be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period. 

 

Not Covered Under Warranty:

  • Products without sufficient proof of purchase and a visible serial number in the original fashion

  • Items that have expired their warranty period

  • Cosmetic issues such as fading or scratches from normal wear, or any other cause not arising from defects in material and workmanship

  • Accidents

  • Neglect including the lack of reasonable and necessary maintenance

  • Disassembly

  • Alterations

  • Repairs through 3rd parties

  • Damage from external causes such as, but not limited to, water damage, exposure to sharp objects, exposure to excessive force, anomalies in the electrical current supplied to the device, and extreme thermal or environmental conditions and damage during shipment

  • Damage resulting from failure to follow instructions contained in your owner’s manual

  • Purchases from unauthorized resellers

 

Warranty Request:

  1. Go to our support page on ocacoustic.com to fill in the form

  2. Please note: You will receive an email requesting you to reply with:

 

  • A legible copy of your original online purchase receipt, invoice, or order number through OC Acoustic’s official stores on Amazon or OC Acoustic’s authorized retailers showing the name of the seller, product, and date purchased.

  • The defective item’s serial number and visible proof depicting the defect are required

  • Your shipping address (no POs or APOs please)

 

  1. After we receive your reply, a Customer Service agent will contact you within 48 hours.

 

Please note more than one type of proof of purchase may be required to process a warranty claim (such as confirmation of address item was originally shipped to). Also, please be sure to save the original shipping carton because a charge will be made for additional carton/packaging.

 

Warranty claims for product defects expire 90 days after opening a warranty claim. It is not possible to process a warranty claim for items that are no longer within their original warranty timeframe or the 90-day warranty claim request period, whichever is longer.

 

Shipping costs must be covered by you in the following situations:

  • Returning products for any reason other than a proven defect

  • Warranty claims on items taken outside the original country of purchase

  • Buyer’s accidental returns

  • Returning personal items

  • Returning items claimed to have defects but found by OC Acoustic’s quality control to be in working condition

  • Returning defective items using international shipping

  • Costs associated with unauthorized returns (any returns made outside of the approved warranty process)
